Comments on Long tom gold sluice in action
You boys got some fine riggin' goin' on there. How'd ya do?
Not as good as we hoped, but hey, that's how it is. We found some nice fines (dust) and one little flake. This was the first trial run of the box. We hiked it in about half mile. Since it caught the smallest stuff, I figure the design works. Just need to dig in a better spot….
You got some violent water running over those riffles There..Ide be settling that down a bit..
We ran the box at various speeds durring the weekend and found that the speed shown in the video was optimal for this rig. The riffles are 1" high and 6" apart and the whole box is 10 feet long.
great video, looking forward to watching more.
Good video, you should post some more lengthy videos, and a clean up or show some gold particals. That sluice looks cool set up. Have a good one Jessgo33
With trifles one can make the life easier
With trifles one can make the life more difficult
But your Tom is 5 times too long Tom, one believes me keene A 52 the correct length for catch.
I will do make a video for your long Tom and you can see what will catch the Keene A 52.
Everything what is built according to after Keene its toy.
Gold stays immediately sit and you can it clubs and it will remain,to Keene, after 30cm lock is ready with gold catch, the rest is reserve
Like the rig looks like it worked out well
Thanks for posting this video. I've failed to do the same with some of my own experiments. I've been looking into a similar idea. I've found that the biggest problem with a regular sluice is the volume they can handle. It slows you down to a crawl. I love that you can just dump and move on.
Won't be long and California will require a new permit for a pulley system like that. Anyway I would like to see where the bucket is coming from. Is it water or land?
I was surprised how fast and violent the water was running like it would take the fine gold right through it. That was a neat little post
Nice operation! It's amazing what you can accomplish with teamwork. It's tough being a "lone miner" but it's tougher finding a prospecting partner who's got their act together! Great job guys!
any gold in rivers in thailand??????
This was a fun weekend, This was a small cave in northern Californa. It went back about 17 feet and and had a hole about 4 feet deep.
There's gold in them thar hills !!!!!
