The results are never shown because there aren't any. People who pan/sluice for gold are fools. Most people spend shitloads of money on gas and equipment…not to mention human resources…and lose money. These are the same people who buy lottery tickets. I often tell people you know the economy is bad when people start mining for gold. It's a complete waste of utter time, not to mention how it destroys the natural landscape. I call these people landscape terrorists. What a shame.

well.. its not about how much gold you get because its about being in and enjoying nature. prospecting does 1/1000 of what a heavy rainstorm or flood does anyways. the real waste of money comes in when you go golfing or something and all you do is spend spend spend. this hobby will at least give a little bit back

your srsly an idiot. ive been gold prospecting since i can remember. my dad would take me up in the country and we would pan for gold and hunt. we did it because it was fun and we loved it. he was the sheriff of our county at the time so he didnt need money. we do it for the love of the outdoors and panning and using sluice boxes is actually good for the enviroment. deep holes for fish, fresh nutrients to streams ect.

At least we are outside enjoying our country and not sitting behind a keyboard bitching about it.
