yes…we had a blast ….spent three weeks approx two three days horseback ride from nearest road and forgot all my gold prospecting gear….we had an old gold pan up there and I made a sleuce box out of a cottonwood tree bark….found a few flakes and spent a lot of time on horseback above the timberline….was a blast…like your profile…thanks for visiting …Prospector John

Im selling a plan to build a automatic gold pan that you can work tons of gravel in a hour You can work all day and at the end of the day collect your gold and black sand which takes a minute. the cost of the parts are from 0 to 50 dollars you need a small generator to run it like a 1 thousand watt honda.you can use 1 or 2 of these machines depends on how fast you can shovel. if your looking for a better way $29.95 for the plans this will make you smile.

I pan a heck of a lot faster with my proline 14" than my steel with banged in riffles, I think its mostly a confidence thing.

The steel pan even though its rough and oxidized does not lock up and hold material in the corner on the wash action like the injection molded pans I own. And the "riffles" in the proline keep rocks larger than half inch out of the crevices which I like a lot.

I am practicing to enter some speed contest and love a pan with simple ridges…I can buy these pans for a couple of dollars and they work great… I can pan a pan with accuracy at about 15 seconds…I start losing gold when I go faster then 10 seconds but have succeeded a few times at 4 seconds….a lot of fun panning up in the mountains with this old rusty medal pan….
