i have never seen a hand dredge that feeds into a bucket where did you get it. If you made it can you post the plans?
I sell these on ebay
This is a great idea! Especially in CO in places like Cleer Creek where there is lots of fine material wedged under larger rocks that would normally require a several thousand dollar dredge to get to.
can u hand make them n how? plz plz plz plz plz tell
There is a video of how to make a hand pump on youtube somewhere.
where on ebay can I find this pump
Well done, what's it called on Ebay??
there is a vid that tells you how to make one. the trick is to have check valves, valves that let in water and dirt but dont let it out
First one that worked well for me. I have bought from different folks and this one actually works. Only problem is getting the top off the bucket, and the one I bought just like this one, the top split trying to get it off. Other than that a good rig.
How do you keep the pump lubricated? How often must it be lubricated?
Leather plunger cups do not require any lubrication, they absorb enough water to create a seal and lubricate at the same time.
Why not pump it directly into the sluice?
I've tried pumping direct but the pump needs a baffle or something to even out the flow, and then a controlled water feed but I think it can be done.

OK you asked for it and finally figured it out, check out Urban Prospecting In Denver and see my first prototype.
check out " Urban Prospecting In Denver" for the first prototype.
Red,
I bought a kit a few weeks ago and have found it to be very useful in getting in the deeper cracks and holes in the creeks here in S.C. All very smal flakes so far.
As mentioned below my problem is with getting the bucket top on and off. Needs to have latches or other fasteners to make it easier to get into.
keep up the videos
